The mission given to us by this ad-firm’s leadership was to inspire the imagination and fuel the creative collaborative processes of the agency. Referencing the before/after  floor plan images, our first major move was to remove an expanse of existing walled offices from the elevator lobby point of entry up to the front Main Street wall of the building in its entirety, exposing the existing façade’s architectural details and allowing diffuse northern daylight to penetrate into the resulting gallery and front entry lobby space.

The glass-clad stairs connects the lobby to the cre-ative department housed on the floor above with a pool table positioned at the landing at the top of the stairs. Collaboration areas like these are placed throughout the plan in a playful, meandering space. The CEO’s round-shaped office and the main client-conference room off the gallery are the only spaces positioned is the public area for simplicity and to limit traffic during presentations.

The interior aesthetic included showcasing the original brick walls and leaving the existing ceiling structure exposed for a very spacious, modern effect. This design of this project was featured in two 2012 Business First of Louisville articles:

This project was again featured, more recently, in the June 20, 2014 issue of Business First, in an article titled “Coolest Office Spaces.”
