Jefferson National Financial Corp / Corporate Headquarters

Louisville, Kentucky

Featured in Business First of Louisville’s November 1, 2013 “Coolest Offices” , Jefferson National’s new cor-porate headquarters is “open, light and full of color.”

The CEO’s challenge to us was to create a “really cool modern space that was fun, vibrant and inter-active for the employees to enjoy working in and presenting a high-end creative and unique image to visitors as well.”

Features of the new design paramount to accom-plishing these goals included:

  1. The curvilinear and angled geometry in the layout of the space to make it more interesting and dynamic.

  2. Opening up the box – leaving long stretches of the building exterior glass open to both the interior open office areas and public areas to afford access to daylight and outside views throughout the interiors to be more spacious and unconventional.
  3. Ceiling heights through much of the spaces are at 11 feet, again making for a more open, spacious environment.

  4. Neutral color palate with vibrant accents of color and dark woods along with the addition of some very cool furnishings.
